What is the process of developing a website?

Although each project is unique and will have specific requirements and steps, here are the general stages of developing a website:

 

How long does it take to build a website?

Web design projects vary greatly, but we can have most informational websites completed within 2-4 weeks of receiving content.

eCommerce projects or large websites can generally be completed in 4-6 weeks.

I have picked out websites I like. Can you build me something that looks like my examples?
Almost always!  We love knowing exactly what you like in a website.  We cannot directly copy a website because it would be a copyright violation, but we can use it as a design example or inspiration.  It is always important to us to fully understand the needs of our clients and having examples of what you like helps us do just that.
Do you keep the websites updated?
Yes!  Our maintenance and service package is designed to keep your website looking good, running well, and updated.  Most minor changes (add a photo, update hours, etc.) are included at no extra charge.  Ask us for more details.
When, and how much, do I have to pay?
Almost all websites require a 50% down payment to begin work and the remaining 50% to launch.  The down payment is due after acceptance of proposal and before work can begin.  The final payment is due after development and approval to launch the website.
Do I have access to the website? Can I update it myself?
If that is something you want to do, of course!  We are always here to help with our full service maintenance and service plan, but all websites include a training session and a use guide for those who are interested.

We do not block clients’ access to their websites.  Unfortunately, many web design companies will not allow you to work on your own website.  If you’re shopping around, ask about this before making your selection.

Can you track the results of my website and digital marketing?

Yes, absolutely!  Almost all our services include analytics reporting and marketing recommendations.
